Summary: Almost Perfect Case for how I "iphone"
Comment: Here's what I wrote to Speck:
After an exhaustive search, I bought the ToughSkin iPhone Case and I'm very satisfied with 1 exception. The 3 sensors that are located to the left of the phone speaker are covered and this essentially makes the iphone unusable unless you manually cut out a portion of the case.
Other than that, it is exactly what I was looking for... a soft case for grip/shock absorbtion; an outer hard case that I leave on for protecting the corners on falls (and makes it easier to get in/out of pockets); a REMOVABLE belt clip/stand for the rare times I use those (if I needed them more, I think I'd dislike the product more); decent price.
Last few questions - any consideration to some cut outs in the back to assist in cooling and to allow use of the camera? How about a cover for the plug in port on the bottom?
Customer Rating: Summary: Effective but stinky
Comment: This case is rugged, stylish and effective. A real deal at $14. My only complaint is that it absorbs the oils in your hands and starts to stink real bad after about 2 months. The remedy was a simple overnight soak in some bleach.

Comment: This case does exactly what it promised too. It's not too bulky and still fits well into my pocket, though obviously, as with most any attachment to the sleek iPhone, occasionally it does stick to the inner fabric a little bit.
- It's very easy to hold
- Attachments all fit easily into slots
- No problem taking pictures
- Still very easy to adjust volume and toggle silent mode
- Haven't had any difficulty with audio when using the phone
- Good protection around the edges
I haven't dropped my iPhone yet and really wouldn't recommend that, but it seems like this would do a good job of giving some protection.
I would definitely suggest this to anybody looking for a durable, functional, and stylish case.

Comment: This case blocks the top sensor on the 3g and will cause the screen to appear to crash, but this case is blocking the sensor!
