Summary: My first sat nav
Comment: My first sat nav - I have put off for ages from using one, but being in the US for nearly four months, and travelling widely, I thought it was time.
I used a Toyota one in the UK recently, and found it not easy to use intuitively (i.e. without reading the manual). This one was different. I got my daughter to read the quick start guide, and off we went. Very easy, very smooth. My non-techy wife showed me how to locate fuel stations. Nice.
Only one wrong location so far - but understandable as the street had the same name as the gardens I was trying to find. Otherwise putting in addresses is fairly easy, though I cannot see any zip code feature.
The only cons thus far - it can be slow to update. Once or twice (or 3 times) I have gone down the wrong street because I had got to the turning and the sat nav hadn't shown a minor turning before mine. I'm working on it...
Nice feature is the line showing where you have been, though not good if you went wrong the last time!
Would recommend you buy with the on dashboard mount, and get the carry case to stop you being tempted to leave it in the car!

Comment: I bought it 1 month back. Its good, but sometimes it takes ages to receive the signal reception through satellites. It keeps on acquiring satellites for 10 minutes sometimes while its still bright, sunny and absolutely clear sky outside.

Comment: I had one before that was not easy to use . I am so happy to have gotten this one . It has a bigger screen and is easy to read . I like the voice directions letting you know where to turn with out looking at the screen . I like the way it tells you to make a left and then lets you know what way you will be turning next allowing you to get in the right lane to make your turn .

Comment: this is my second garmin and i love it! it is clear on directions and more detailed,i.e,"turn left on spruce then turn right...", so i can easily anticipate the route. the large screen is great,too.
